hushed hybrid

A hybrid office was a post-COVID office where employers and employees had reached a compromise.  The employees could stay at home two or three days a week but on the other days everyone had to be in the office.  This seemed to get the best of both worlds.   Good communications in the office and a generous share of WFH (work from home).  However, some employers have been insisting on a return to full-time office work.  Some team managers have been caught in the middle and have been quietly allowing a certain amount of WFH without making it an issue. They can see that for some employees WFH has been a distinct benefit.  This has been termed hushed hybrid.  It does put the manager in an awkward position if for some reason the arrangement causes difficulties.
