right to disconnect

We have had some interesting new rights given to us by legislation.  In 2023 there was the right to repair law passed in July 2021 which allows access to software in a device, car, etc., that makes it possible for someone other than the original manufacturer to repair it.  There was also the right to be forgotten, that is, to have your personal information removed from the indexes of search engines as a step towards maintaining personal privacy online.  And now we have the right to disconnect, that is the legal right to not respond to work calls or messages or emails once you have finished work for the day.  It is the right to switch off the phone from work contacts and switch off your mind from work problems.  There are a couple of exceptions — emergencies and shift changes.
