trickle charger
It won’t be long before we are all familiar with the details of an EV but they are still novel at the moment — at least to me. The trickle charger is the slowest way of charging the battery in your EV, providing a small but steady charge that is meant to prevent the car from discharging its battery too deeply. It is at the opposite end of the spectrum from the fast charger which is the one that is publicly available. You can trickle-charge at home whereas you fast-charge at the EV station. A correspondent tells me that trickle chargers have been around for a while but they will probably get a high profile in relation to cars.
