COVID rebound

It is evident now that about one third of the people who get COVID-19 will experience COVID rebound, that is, the recurrence of the presence of the virus in their systems to the extent that they test positive for it. Some of them have  symptoms again, others do not. No one is quite sure what is going on, although some health professionals say that it is not uncommon with respiratory diseases to have these cycles of viral load. Joe Biden was one of the lucky ones who had the rebound with no symptoms./

For a while it was suspected that the antiviral treatments may have had something to do with it. In particular it was thought that not giving the treatment at a sufficient dose to kill all the virus might allow the remaining cells to replicate.  Tests have revealed that it doesn’t matter whether people have had the treatment or not.  The level of COVID rebound is constant among both groups, those who have had the treatment and those who haven’t.
