situationship

If you find yourself romantically or sexually involved with someone so that they are more than a friend but not quite an official partner then you are in a situationship.  The signs are that, although you are together regularly, there is no talk of the future and you haven’t had what is called the DTR (define the relationship) conversation. This leads to the C word (commitment) and an agreement on exclusivity in the relationship and possibly a discussion of expectations for the future.  It could go well or badly but, one way or the other, the DTR conversation probably brings the situationship to an end.
