COVID anger
A newspaper article assures us that COVID anger is real, and certainly a few friends have admitted to feeling this and being glad that it has a name. It is the boilover of repressed anxiety, frustration and depression, the sense of lost success in dealing with this situation, the sense that resilience and watchfulness are not enough, and that perhaps a few mistakes have been made along the way. Also there are those idiots who think it is still time to party and to travel out of Sydney. But we are not supposed to think of them as idiots but as misguided souls.
For those whose feelings are stronger there is the term COVID rage to add to cluster of specified rages that are now in the dictionary – road rage, customer rage, lane rage, air rage, check-out rage.
