immunity certificate

One possibility for a safe return to work is to have an antibody test to confirm that someone has had asymptomatic coronavirus and is now immune to the COVID-19.  It is thought that such a person could then safely return to work. This is particularly important for medical workers but it could open up possibilities in other parts of the economy.  Such people would be issued an immunity certificate which might be a piece of paper, or it might be an immunity bracelet or wristband for simple identification.

The drawback to this system is that no one knows as yet how long such immunity will last. It has also been pointed out that this strategy might have the undesirable consequence of motivating people to get the virus so that they can recover and go back to work. Of course recovery is not guaranteed.
