giftician
This word, created by a sales and marketing group, was pronounced by the Plain English Foundation to be one of their Worst Words of 2015. Unfortunately, being panned by the PEF did nothing to put off the sales staff who decided that what department stores should have as Christmas approaches is a giftorium run by gifticians who can solve your gift-giving problems and lead you to the perfect present. It is not just the department stores that are adopting it. There is a website run from Delhi that promises that their gifticians have a lifetime of business experience which means they can tell a company what presents to buy for clients and employees. It is all low-frequency in terms of use and definitely contrived, but it is still with us.
