dojo point

 This is a point awarded to a student in class for doing something good. The whole system is managed through a free app with students choosing cartoon  monster avatars and watching their ratings go up or down. The app transforms the dojo, a hall in which martial arts lessons are held, into the classroom.  Students aim to improve their behaviour and skills in order to win more points. 

 Dojo has also entered the IT domain as a space set aside for people to practice coding,  to collaborate with others on agile techniques, to test software.   So much better than gathering in a meeting or conference room.  I supposed it does carry the sense of people engaged in a high art getting together for instruction or practice.
