e-scooter

The e-scooter is an electric scooter designed for adults. It is similar to an electric bike in that it is meant to be durable, not a toy, and sufficiently powerful to carry the rider at a reasonable speed for some length of time. 

 Some councils are awarding e-scooter companies  the rights to run a fleet in the CBD. This has added a few more words to our lexicon.  A juicer is a person employed to round up the scooters at night, re-charge them and place them in strategic locations around the city to be available to riders. In addition the scooters are subject to geo-fencing.   If they enter a red zone, such as a street or mall in which vehicles are not supposed to go, they will shut down automatically.
